Registration is now open at the early price of $40! Also, the guest rooms are available for reservation, while they last.

One last reminder that pre-registration and guest room reservation opens tomorrow at noon! If you are interested in reserving a guest room, I highly recommend that you send your request in tomorrow after noon. I expect them to all be reserved in short order. Please see my previous update for more information on the reservation process.

We’re just one week away from the open of pre-registration. As a reminder, registering early saves you $10 on the entry fee. Also, guest rooms open for reservation at the same time, and those tend to go very quickly. Check out the Location page for more info on the rooms. If you are interested in reserving one, here’s how the process works –

• Reservations open at noon, Eastern time, on November 22nd.
• You reserve a room by sending an email to to@vanguardgt.org. This can also be your registration email.
• Reservation requests will be processed in the order that they are received by our email server, beginning with the ones received after noon according to our email server’s time stamps.
• We will get back to you regarding the current room availability and confirm your reservation as soon as possible via email, and hold the reservation for 24 hours.
• If we haven’t received payment within 24 hours, we will go on to the next request in line.

In order to accommodate as many people as possible who want to stay on site, we are reserving the apartment over the garage (also known as the 2 Double Bed Room) for groups of at least 3, preferably 4 or more.  We will hold any requests for that room until at least noon on November 23rd and wait to see if we get a request from a larger group.  The largest group that asks first will get the room at the end of the hold period.  If you are interested in reserving that room, make sure to get your group sorted out before the 23rd.

If you aren’t able to reserve a guest room, there are still plenty of other options.  We will allow campers on site again, and the weather should be good this year (*crosses fingers*).  Several of the rooms have space for air mattresses on the floor, so you might be able to split a room with a friend who reserved one.  There are also a few folks who live nearby who might have space, and if all else fails there are, of course, hotels nearby.  Feel free to post on our Facebook event if you are looking for crash space.
